A: The only other option to having your alarm monitored with a land line phone connection is to have it monitored cellulary. Also, Honeywell security products are not compatible with VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone lines. Q: If I have pets should I still get a motion detector installed in my home? A: We have many options available to homeowners with pets. We offer pet safe motion detectors of up to 80lbs. If you have an 80lb motion installed in your home then you can let your pet run free while the motion is activated so long as it weighs under 80lbs. We also have 40lb motions available. The standard motion sensor that are installed in a typical install are pet sage up to 20lbs. If you have a pet over 80lbs it still will be a good idea to get a motion sensor installed in your home. All of the alarms we offer have two main settings. First, the "away" setting arms all doors, windows and motions. The second setting called the "home" setting arms only the doors and windows while leaving the the motion sensor deactivated. This setting is preferred especially during the night allowing family members to walk freely throughout the home without triggering the alarm.
